这所大学是香港高等教育界进步最快的黑马。虽然它的历史不算长，但它凭借极佳的地理位置、激进的国际化策略和飙升的世界排名（常年稳居QS前百，甚至冲进前50），成为了无数内地学生的“心头好”。

The “Vibe” & The Persona

CityU’s vibe is “The Savvy Urban Upstart.”

  • Festival Walk University: The most famous nickname. The campus is physically connected to Festival Walk, one of HK’s highest-end malls. After class, students walk through a corridor to buy MacBooks, go ice skating, or dine at Michelin restaurants. It is the most convenient campus in HK.
  • Ranking Obsessed: CityU is a master of the ranking game. It consistently sits high in QS rankings (often Top 50-70), rivaling some US Ivies or top mainland schools. While controversial, this creates immense Value for Money for parents and HRs who care about lists.

    • Food: Many canteens on campus, but students prefer the fast food in Festival Walk or the incredibly cheap local “Dai Pai Dong” food at the nearby Nam Shan Estate.
    • Housing: A Pain Point. Dorms are scarce. Most non-local students only get dorms for Year 1. Afterward, you must rent off-campus. Rents in Kowloon Tong are sky-high, so many move to Tai Wai or Sha Tin.
  • Transport: Unbeatable. Kowloon Tong is the interchange of the East Rail and Kwun Tong lines. 40 mins to Shenzhen, 20 mins to Central. Everywhere is accessible.
