The “Vibe” & The Persona

SMU’s vibe is “The Articulate Corporate Wolf.”

  • American Pedagogy (Seminar Style): This is the biggest difference from NUS/NTU. There are no massive lecture halls. Classes are small Seminars (40-50 people).
    • Class Participation: You cannot hide in the back. Speaking up accounts for a huge chunk of your grade. This forces students to be vocal, confident, and quick on their feet.
